General Information

The following information provides you with a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data means all data which allow for the identification of your person. For detailed information on the topic of data protection, please refer to our Data Protection Declaration set out below this text.

Collection of Data on our Website

Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?

The data processing on this website is performed by the website operator. For their contact data, please refer to the legal notice on this website.

How do we collect your data?

One way of collecting your data is that you provide them to us. These data may, for example, include information that you enter in a contact form.

Other data are automatically recorded by our IT systems when you visit the website. These data are mainly of a technical nature (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time at which the web page was accessed). These data are collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

For which purpose do we use your data?

One part of the data is collected in order to ensure an error-free provisioning of the website. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.

Which rights do you have with regard to your data?

You have, at any time, a right of free access to information on the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. Moreover, you have the right to request the rectification, blocking or erasure of these data. For this purpose or if you have any further questions regarding data protection, you may contact us at the address specified in the legal notice, at any time. Apart from that, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Furthermore, under certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data. In the Data Protection Declaration, under the heading “Right to restriction of processing”, you can find details thereon.

2. General Information and Mandatory Information

Data Protection

The operators of this site take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We keep your personal data in confidence and treat them according to the legal data protection regulations as well as this Data Protection Declaration.

When you use this website, various personal data will be collected. Personal data are data which allow for your personal identification. This Data Protection Declaration explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for which purpose this is done.

We refer to the fact that security gaps may exist when transferring data via the internet (when communicating by email, for example). It is impossible to fully protect the data against access by third parties.

Information on the Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:

HATTLER & Sohn GmbH
Kurt Hattler
Bergstraße 13-17
78056 Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany

Phone: +49 (0) 7720 / 9731-0
E-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The controller means the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Withdrawal of your Consent to the Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You may withdraw a consent that you provided on a previous occasion at any time. To do so, sending us an informal message by email will suffice. The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases as well as to Direct Marketing (Art. 21 of the GDPR)

If data processing takes place based upon Art. 6 (1) point (e) or (f) of the GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your data at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation; this shall also apply to any profiling based upon these provisions. The respective legal basis on which data processing takes place is set forth in this Data Protection Declaration. If you file an objection, we will no longer process your personal data affected, unless we are able to demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection under Art. 21 (1) of the GDPR).

If we process your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing, you have the right to submit an objection to the processing of your personal data for such marketing purposes; insofar as it is associated with such direct marketing, this also applies to profiling. If you file an objection, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for the purpose of direct marketing (objection under Art. 21 (2) of the GDPR).

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, the data subjects are entitled to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their regular residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged violation. The right to lodge a complaint exists without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive the personal data we process automatically on the basis of your consent, or for the performance of a contract, in a commonly used, machine-readable format or you have the right to transmit those data to a third party. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be made insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL and/or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and in order to protect the transfer of confidential content, such as e.g. orders or enquiries which you send to us as website operator, this website uses SSL and/or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address line in the browser changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in the browser line.

If the SSL- and/or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you transfer to us cannot be accessed by third parties.

Access, Blocking, Erasure and Rectification

You have, at any time, under the applicable legal provisions, the right of free access to your stored personal data, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and to rectification, blocking or erasure of these data, if applicable. To that end, or if you have more questions related to the topic of personal data, you can contact us at the address specified in the legal notice at any time.

Right to the Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. For this purpose, you may contact us at the address specified in the legal notice, at any time. The right to restriction of the processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you challenge the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to check the matter. For the duration of our examination, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is performed unlawfully, you can request restriction of the data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data but you need them for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
  • If you have filed an objection under Art. 21 (1) of the GDPR, we have to balance your interests against ours. As long as it is not clear whose interests override, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.

Where you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such personal data may, with the exception of storage, only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a member state.

Objection to Advertising E-Mails

The use of contact data published to comply with imprint obligations for the purposes of sending advertisements and information material not expressly solicited is hereby rejected. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal steps in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for instance by means of spam emails.

Most of the cookies used by us are so-called “session cookies”. These are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies are stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser during your next visit to our site.

You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are being placed and to only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, to refuse cookies in certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. Deactivating cookies may limit the full functionality of this website.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically smooth and optimised provision of their services. Where other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your browsing behaviour) are stored, these are addressed separately in this Data Protection Declaration.

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser automatically sends to us. This information includes the following:

  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server query
  • IP address

This data is not combined with other data sources.

The collection of such data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) point (f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in technically error-free display and optimisation of its website — for this purpose, the server log files have to be captured.
